Eagle Rock Elementary Education Foundation (EREEF) is a 501(c)(3) organization created to benefit the ~800 diverse students of Eagle Rock Elementary & Magnet Center, offering ETK-6th grade classes, one of LAUSD's largest Elementary schools. We are a Title 1 school in one of the nation’s largest school districts with about 1/2 our population (~400 kids) qualifying for free or reduced lunch.
EREEF is comprised of a group of determined volunteers who work alongside the PTA to enrich education for all children who attend.
At Eagle Rock Elementary, this includes students from a robust Special Education Program and two Magnet Centers for Gifted and Highly Gifted students. Our focus is on grant writing and community fundraising to further STEAM programming, infrastructure improvements, and sustainability efforts. We have a well-established record of working with funding agencies to execute projects according to plan. Our motto, "EREEF is for Everyone!” demonstrates our commitment to serving every student at Eagle Rock Elementary and Magnet Center.
EREEF was founded in 2003 by volunteers with the aim to enrich education for all students at ERE. At inception, we operated under Community Partners, an umbrella organization. In 2017, EREEF obtained its own 501(c)(3) status. Since then we have mainly focused on grant writing and fundraising - working with the larger community to support STEAM programming, campus improvements, and sustainability efforts at Eagle Rock Elementary and Magnet Center. We operate with a full board including a President, a VP of Grants, a Treasurer, and a Secretary. As well as approximately 10-20 volunteers.
